Enlivening Secondary History

This handbook provides teachers of history with a `menu` of possible teaching methods for use in small-group or seminar context. It is a resource for teachers who like to vary their approach to small-group classes and who would like to experiment more.Produced under the aegis of the History 2000 project, the authors have written this user-friendly handbook for secondary history teachers containing 40 classroom activities, emphasizing student-centered learning, and encouraging teachers to approach their teaching in an imaginative and innovative way. The authors have provided four sections with ten activities in each to bring alive the possibilities for teaching and learning using visuals, numerical data, abstract ideas and primary sources.
